Have you heard? Lately, 91 millions user's personal data in a large and well-known company that serves buying and selling goods via online in Indonesia has been hacked and traded on the dark web site. The only question remains is what is actually the dark web?

According to a tech specialist, The dark web is a part of the internet that isn't indexed by search engines. That being said, you can't access the site without any specific browsers. And why is that? Is that dangerous site? The answer is yes. It is actually a hidden site that is under investigation for years by the FBI and many government agencies because the site is illegal and there are many reports that criminals using the dark web to perform illicit activities.

You might be wondering, what illegal and criminal activities in the dark web? Well, it just like a black market, you can actually buy many things from it such as you can get information for people's credit card numbers, all manner of drugs, guns, child porns, counterfeit money, stolen subscription credentials, a software to break into other people’s computers, a “lifetime” Netflix premium account goes for $6, and you can also hire hackers service to attack computers for you.

The people who selling and buying in the dark web are anonymous and using a third party access such as VPN to change their IP address and also specific browser to protect their identities. It might explain why the police and the FBI are having the hard time to track down the criminals.

So, that's it about the dark web. Are you curious and interested to visit the site? NO ! Don't ever do that! Not only because it is illegal, but it may harm you, the people in the site are actually a cold blooded criminal. If you are not careful enough, you can be their next target.
